So much information … so few Brain Cells to absorb it!
What did I do? No gambling … No drinking (ok, just a few beer) … No Show Girls! I went to Seminars, Pounded the floor looking for any product or information that will make my business better! Oh … I also eat too much!

Yes … You heard me … I’m in the process of talking to a Custom Bike Builder who has the ability to make geometry changes according to the needs of the client. I’ll be able to take your fitting information and custom design and order you a bike that fits perfectly.

I’d like to introduce everyone to Jamie Clements. Over the last four years he’s been increasing more valuable to me. He originally did a little mechanical work, then helping me with some pick-ups and delivery. Recently I’ve been teaching him the intricacies of Bike Fitting. He has an intuitive understanding of bicycles ... from the mechanical end to fitting and customer service ... he stays!
So of course, how do you make an employee happy … take him to Las Vegas (the Interbike Trade Show). He absorbed information like a sponge! It was great to have him there … he had some creative ideas and valuable feedback. |

I've been in the Bicycle Industry for over 25 years. There's been
many changes during that time. Yeah ... I guess that makes me "Old"
... but, that means plenty of experience ... Now that's Good!
I started off earlier in the last centuryat a local Calgary bike store, eventually becoming
a head mechanic, then Service Manager & buyer ... then I took a year off and played on my bike.
I taught Bicycle Maintenance Classes at bike stores, Mount Royal College and the YWCA.
Onwards to ... Spokes and Attire, as the co-owner and manager until we closed in 2003. I also did bike
maintenance on all types of bikes. During my time at Spokes, I honed my bike fitting skills and fit program. |
When We closed Spokes & Attire, I was dazed and confused … for 6 months!
I then realized … “I Do like The Bike Industry”!
So … I picked things I could make a difference with … Like…
